Recently built, to a high standard the apartment is located just 5 minutes walk from the centre of the delightful village of Vallouise were you will find restaurants, a post office, a small supermarket, hotels/bars and several patisseries in the charming surroundings of it’s old church.
During the winter season, downhill skiing is easily available in either of the 2 local ski resorts (Puy St Vincent & Pelvoux), plus access to a further 4 resorts within a 50min drive of the apartment. In addition, there are numerous “au fond” circuits and ski touring itineraries
In summer there are numerous mountain biking itineraries available as well as many rock climbing and Via Ferrata venues all within a short drive. Mountaineers are well placed to climb some of the most exciting peaks in the alps including the 4000m Barre des Ecrins, and for those interested in road bike racing, the close town of Briancon has hosted the Tour de France 23 times, most recently in 2007. There is excellent Kayaking to be had, with access to the internationally renowned rivers of Guisance, Romanche, Durance, Gyronde & Onde the last 2 of which run through the village meeting the Durance at the world famous slalom course.
However, the area is extremely pleasant for walking, with routes to suit all ages and abilities.
